MINI Classing

All MINI’s will be combined into a single PAX-based (theoretical performance) group. The PAX numbers are based on the Class and Modifier. 2001-2013 Base hatchback model MINIs are in the “3” class, all 2014-Pres Base hatchback model MINIs are in the “2” class, and all hatchback MINI S, JCW, GP1, GP2 models are in the “1” class. Variant MINI models like the coupe, roadster, cabrio, clubman, countryman, and paceman will class based on their hatchback model-based drivetrain. Participants will need to register by choosing the “MINI” class and then choosing a secondary BMW class (S1, S2, S3, T1, T2, T3, and M).

 

***NOTE: 2021 MINI Cooper GP3 will be classed in T1 if stock or modifications are approved in Showroom. Any modification exceeding Showroom will result in a classing of “Modified”. This is based on the increased horsepower, tire width, and weight reduction compared to a 3rd generation S or JCW models.

 

For example, a stock 2001-2013 base MINI with no modifications would be S3, while any John Cooper Works with non-factory installed springs would be T1.
