All,

Hope everyone is safe and well.

Our participant’s health and safety are of the utmost concern of the NCC Autocross Program (and National Capital Chapter, more broadly). Given the current circumstances with COVID-19, we are suspending NCC Autocross events through the end of April (this includes Points Event #1 Scheduled for 3/28, and the Novice School scheduled for 4/4).  We will continue to monitor the situation and make changes to our other scheduled events (i.e. Test and Tune currently scheduled for 5/17, and remaining points events) as necessary.  We hope to secure re-schedule dates for those events that require cancellation.

All participants will receive refunds of the monies paid to NCC Autocross for these now-cancelled events.  Season subscribers will receive a pro-rated refund ($25 for half day subscribers and $40 for full day) to reflect the reduction of six (6) events to five (5) at the time being.  If we are able to re-schedule a 6th points event, we will extend to you the option of adding that event at a reduced rate if you wish to attend that event (we understand that many may have conflicts or otherwise be unable to attend the re-scheduled event.

Trophy Qualifications will be modified as well — We will take the best Four (4) event results to count towards points calculations.  Minimum of three (3) events must be attended (if you do not attend four events, 1 of the events will be scored a zero).  Therefore, if you attend five events you get 1 “drop”, Four events = no drops, three events means eligible for a trophy but holding a zero in the bucket.

Loaner Helmets – at this time we are still evaluating if we will be able to continue the loaner helmet program upon resuming the NCC Autocross season.

Following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidance, recommending cancelling group gatherings of greater than 50 persons for the next eight (8) weeks, we believe this is the proper course of action to protect our participants, their families and friends.  The CDC’s statement can be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/large-events/mass-gatherings-ready-for-covid-19.html

We encourage everyone to follow CDC procedures to keep yourself and others healthy. Please visit the CDC’s website for more information on this virus.  https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html

Thank you all, and do not hesitate to reach out to Fraser Dachille directly with any questions.
